Long, long day today – just got back from Flow Festival which was brilliant in oh-so many ways. Highlights definitely were Lau Nau‘s soothing singing and impressive independence, José González‘s 100% enamoring performance (FRONT ROW, BABES), buying a teeny can long drink for a ridiculous 7 €, leaning and being leaned on in the pit for M.I.A., and going to a real show afterward with Major Lazer, an inflatable Bambi, and sweaty Finnish lumberjack dudes swinging their shirts like propellers overhead. Fully covered in sweat and hard cider and out of money. Excellent. See photos on flickr.
Since it’s 3:30am now, I’ll explain more about the above poster I made in tomorrow’s post. Basically, these are things from my summer journal that are good reminders for me when I work on new art and reminders to help me cope with waxing and waning artistic plight or discouragement. I want to craft a positive creative environment for myself next year, and it’s helpful to keep these little things in mind.
I also made a salad. Good night!

The salad looks delicious. And I need a list like this. I jinxed myself and have done zero work on my writing this summer. ;_;
