Sooo I’m designing a queen card now. Entirely in vectors (Illustrator)! Huzzah! I’m excited.

Who doesn’t love a little challenge? My mini challenge for myself right now is to complete a piece entirely in Illustrator. It’s going to be a lot harder for me than it sounds – I’m a Photoshop shark so I’m always tempted to fix things in Photoshop because it’s “so much easier” when in reality it’s only because I just don’t know how to do things in Illustrator. Anyway, when I give in to fixing small things in Photoshop I end up just finishing the piece in Photoshop. Not gonna happen this time, I vow it! …er, well, not completely, maybe a little. cough.

I really do need to get fluid in Illustrator because until I do I’ll never be able to have the confidence or to be able to go into a project with a particular outcome in mind. I won’t be able to predict results in Illustrator until I learn it better. Yep, self-improvement pat on the back. (:
